"Yakuza 0: Director's Cut" to Debut on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5

Sega has announced that "Yakuza 0: Director's Cut" will be released simultaneously with the launch of Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025

 

Set in 1988, during the bubble economy era, the game is set in the two giant cities of Tokyo's Kamurocho and Osaka's Sotenbori1. It revolves around two young protagonists, Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, embarking on an exciting action - adventure1. Each of Kiryu and Majima has three exclusive fighting styles, allowing players to experience thrilling combat with simple operations1.

 

This director's cut version includes new story scenes related to important characters, adding more depth and breadth to the plot1. In addition, it introduces the series' first online - play mode, "Showdown Online Duel", which supports up to four players to play together1. Players can team up with friends or players worldwide to complete challenges1. The mode offers 60 characters from the main story for players to choose from, and they need to work together to defeat the final boss1. Moreover, Chinese dubbing is added to provide players with a more immersive experience1.
