Germany in May: A Month of Festivals and Celebrations

The Munich Spring Festival, often regarded as the "little sister" of the Oktoberfest, kicks off on the Theresienwiese square. Except for its smaller scale, the entertainment offerings are largely similar to those of the Oktoberfest. Visitors can enjoy a giant Ferris wheel, performances by traditional Bavarian bands, and the enticing aroma of roasted pork knuckles, pretzels, and the lively atmosphere of beer tents.

This year, the main venue of the Spring Festival features two large beer tents, 30 amusement rides, and over 70 stalls, inviting both adults and children to come and indulge in food, drinks, and fun. The two prominent beer tents are the Bayernland beer tent by the Schöniger family and the Hippodrom tent by the Krätz family. In addition to enjoying drinks, these tents come alive with brass band performances. Whether it's pop music or Bavarian folk music, the live music instantly ignites the atmosphere.
